Paddles from Triangle Y Camp.
I can honestly say I almost didn't get a photo up today: oops! I woke to thunderstorms this morning, and although the rain stopped the day remained grey. On top of the dreary weather, I got unexpectedly called into work. By the time I got home, studying for my school tests was vital. So, today my "quest" left me using my imagination. I created my own lighting, and took a photo of things that mean much to me.
I attended camp for four years as a camper and one as a counselor (that paddle is not pictured here). Each year, you receive a paddle for other campers and counselors to sign and to have "branded" with the camp sign (a triangle with a y in it). During closing ceremony, you light a candle and as speeches are given and songs are sung, the candle wax drips onto your paddle -- when you miss camp, you are to pick of a piece of wax (hence the wax seen most on the blue paddle).
Hopefully tomorrow I am able to get back outside! I'm not sure how many things in my house are actually photogenic, haha!
